Rajeev Kumar is a Teacher, Industrial Trainer, Author and video Creator. At present, He is a research scholar in the electrical engineering department, IIT Roorkee, since Jan 2019. He assigns the academic duties as a Teaching assistant to teach undergraduates in IIT Roorkee. His research interest is in the area of conditioning monitoring, power system, electrical machines, MATLAB and the development of web-enabled engineering labs.
Rajeev Kumar was born in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India, in 1989. He has completed his elementary educations from Roorkee. He received the B.Tech degree from the Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun in 2011. He is pursuing Ph.D. course under the supervision of Prof. RS Anand at IIT Roorkee since January 2019. Rajeev Kumar has qualified Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) two times in the year of 2012 and 2013.
Rajeev Kumar has rich experience in teaching, industrial training, research and product development. He started his career as Lecturer in AICTE approved engineering college in 2011. In 2015, He joined Virtual Labs Project under the scheme of the 'National Mission on Education through ICT' sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF). In 2016, he was promoted to Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the same project and got the opportunity to be involved in administrative and management level activities.
Being an employee of Virtual Labs project, Rajeev Kumar has organised more than 90+ national level training workshops on ‘Virtual Labs’, 10+ Faculty development programs, 15+ Industrial visits, 10+ national level Bootcamps and successfully trained 45000+ students of various engineering colleges in India. He has also been involved in the Internship program in IIT Roorkee from 2017 to 2021. He instructs the 08 students during their internship under the guidance of Prof. RS Anand. He is actively involved in the development of various projects for Virtual Labs i.e. Electrical Machines Lab, Analog Electronics Lab, Hybrid Analog and Digital Electronics Lab, Design and Analysis of Algorithms Labs, Digital Electronics Lab, Power System Lab, Power Electronics Lab.
Rajeev Kumar has been invited as a resource person in Faculty Development Program (FDP), Quality Improvement Program (QIP-IITR) and TEQIP-III sponsored short term training program. He has also delivered 10+ lectures on ‘Virtual Instrumentation and signal analysis using LabVIEW’ and ‘Virtual Labs development and its applications in various courses. Rajeev Kumar has also delivered lectures in Global Initiatives of Academic Networks (GIAN) courses on ‘Virtual Labs initiatives and its applications’ in 2017. Rajeev Kumar has published 05 research papers in national and international journals and conferences. His research articles are available on IEEE Xplore (03), IJRTM (01) and Seek digital library (01). He has 11 citations on Google Scholar, 10 citations on Research Gate and 06 citations on Microsoft academics.
Rajeev Kumar is associated with INFO4EEE as CoFounder and Manager along with Mr Paramjeet Singh Jamwal (Founder, INFO4EEE) since 2017. He has published 09 articles on power system, 06 articles under Tech Blog section and released 12 videos on YouTube channel.
